Ms. Allsop started working at Mountain Ridge High School the first year it opened in 2019. Before that, she was a teacher at Oquirrh Hills Middle school since 2008.  She has taught Exploring Computer Science, Web Development, Computer Programming 1 & 2, College & Career Awareness (Business Section), Computer Tech, Info. Communications & Design Tech, Digital Literacy, and Keyboarding classes.  She was the adviser for both HOPE Squad and SOAR Team at OHMS aka. Students Opinions Are Respected (previously she worked with Stage Crew) and she loves to be involved.  She didn't always want to be a teacher because she is interested in so many different things.  She thought about being an artist, a graphic designer, and a landscape architect,  but she is happy with her choice now.  She likes to be outdoors, loves to go camping, and traveling all over the world.   She has been to 19 counties and 5 continents...so far!  Going to Lake Powell and Disneyland are things she loves to do with her family.

Ms. Allsop is a movie buff and loves to watch, talk about, and create all sorts of films.  Some of her absolute favorite movies are "What's Up Doc", "The Emporer's New Groove", "The Avengers", "Wonder Woman", and "Some Like It Hot."  Her favorite book is "To Kill a Mockingbird" (but "Catching Fire" comes in at a close second) and she loves to read it once a year.  Some of her current favorite TV Shows are "Friends" and "This Is Us."  She doesn' have any pets right now, but would LOVE to own a dog in the future.  She plans on going back to school to get her Master's degree.  She received her Bachelor's degree from BYU (go COUGARS).  She loves all things witty.
